Pam's laughable

New sitcom for Anderson

Pamela Anderson is set to star in her own sitcom.

The former Baywatch pin-up, most recently seen in Scary Movie 3, will star as a woman trying to stop her addiction to irresponsible men in the planned new comedy.

America’s Fox Network has ordered six episodes– even though it has not yet seen a completed script, according to industry trade magazine The Hollywood Reporter.

The so-far-untitled comedy will be written and produced by  Steven Levitan, who created magazine sitcom Just Shoot Me, aired on the Paramount Comedy Channel in the UK.

He said: "I think Pamela has reached icon status because she's smart and she's self-aware. She has such a presence. She's funny and has a tremendous sense of self."

This is the show that celebrated the launch of Nick Helm's album in 2016, and has previously been unseen by anyone who was not in the O2 Forum Kentish Town that night.

With typical hyperbole, the show is described thusly: 'Under-rehearsed, under-prepared and under pressure, Nick and his band somehow managed to pull together the greatest show in the last 27 years of living memory. That show went down as a thing of legend, often spoken about by weary travellers around campfires, but thought to have been lost to the sands of time forever.'
