Ricky gets Arrested
New cameo for Gervais
Ricky Gervais is to make a guest appearance in hit US comedy Arrested Development.
He is a big fan of the award-winning Fox sitcom, shown on BBC2 in Britain, and is now in discussions about when his role will be filmed.
The part he will play has not been disclosed.
Gervais has been flooded with offers to wok in America following the success of The Office, but has turned almost all of them down.
However, he has already played a villain on spy series Alias.
His spokesman said: “Arrested Development is Ricky's favourite programme at the moment and everyone in the cast are big fans of Ricky's.
