Lee plans arena tour... in 2005

Lee Evans is to embark on his biggest ever stand-up tour - but it won't be until autumn 2005.

The comic - who earlier this month called his live work "meaningless" and "pap - will be performing arena shows in nine cities across the country in October and November next year.

More shows are likely to be added nearer the time, but tickets for this first batch will be going on sale as early as next Monday (June 28).

The tour will come on the back of his role in the West End version of The Producers, which starts its run at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, on October 22 this year.
