Gorman wins another award

Dave Gorman has another accolade to add to his mantelpiece, after winning a prestigious award at the Aspen Comedy Festival.

He was presented with the honour for best one-person show for his Googlewhack Adventure, which recounts his exploits tracking down the owners of unique websites around the world.

It's the second time he's won the title at the US Comedy Arts festival the first was three years ago for Are You Dave Gorman?

The version he presented in the mountain resort was a stripped-down version of the show he is touring the UK with, running at just an hour long.

Gorman won two Chortle awards last month for Googlewhack Adventure; for best full-length show and for innovation.

Other winners in Colorado this weekend include Lost in Translation for best film, Mexican-American Al Madrigal for best stand-up performer and Ethan Sandler and Adrian Wenner for best sketch performers for their show Epitaph, about two men "working out their issues" at a woman's funeral.
