Andy named best stand-up

Andy Zaltzman has won an award for best stand-up.

The political comic was today awarded the accolade by the website FringeReport.com, which covers comedy and fringe theatre in London and beyond.

Chortle was also a winner, being named best comedy publication.

Other winners include:

  • Ealing Live! for Best Live Comedy Show
  • Topping & Butch for Best Cabaret
  • The Trap (Jeremy Limb, Paul Litchfield, Dan Mersh) for Best Comedy Group
  • It's Alright For Some for Best Comedy Company
  • Evening Standard comedy critic Bruce Dessau for Best Journalist

The awards will be presented in London's Canal Cafe Theatre next month.
