Drawn to good scripts...

Simpsons nab writing nominations

The Simpsons has picked up three awards nominations for the quality of its scripts.

Even though it is in its 15th series, the writers picked up more Writers Guild of America nominations than any other comedy show.

It got its three nominations in the TV animation category, for the episodes The Dad Who Knew Too Little, Moe Baby Blues and My Mother the Carjacker.

It is up against King of the Hill, Futurama and The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius.

In the live comedy category, Malcolm In Thee Middle was nominated twice, with Frasier and Sex And The City getting one nod apiece.

Winners will be announced in New York on February 21.
