Punter floors comic in club fight

Australian comic Jim Jeffries has been admitted to hospital after being hit by a punter.

The man was furious after his father had been thrown out of Nottingham's Jongleurs Comedy Club for heckling.

After the comedy, people who had been thrown out were allowed back in for the disco, and the irate heckler tried to find Jeffries.

There was a scuffle, and the man's son pulled Jeffries to the ground, banging his head on a table.

Jim reported to hospital the next morning and was kept in over Saturday night for observation.

His place was taken on Saturday night by Steve Hughes.
