Carr, blimey!

Jimmy lands slot on Leno's Tonight Show

Jimmy Carr is to boost his US profile with another appearance on the Tonight Show.

The comic appeared on Jay Leno's prestigious chat show last month - and so impressed the host that he was invited back to his home to see his collection of classic cars.

Now Carr is to provide a live report from the Montreal comedy festival for NBC's late-night chat show.

He will host a segment on Friday night's show about "some of Montreal's more unusual attractions".

Carr is appearing at the Just For Laugh festival as part of the Britcom showcase.

Festival chief Bruce Hills said: "We are thrilled that the Tonight Show is back with us again for the third year in a row. This continues to be a great opportunity for showcasing some very talented comics as well as our festival."

The 21st Just for Laughs festival runs until Sunday.
