Vegas's wife gives birth to 6lb 9oz boy

Johnny Vegas has become a father.

His wife Kitty Donnelly gave birth to a 6lb 9oz boy at a north London hospital yesterday.

The couple have named him Michael Lawrence Pennington ­ Michael Pennington is Vegas' real name and Lawrence his father's name.

Kitty, 27, and baby Michael are said to be doing very well.

Vegas, from St Helens, Merseyside, said: "I'm very, very proud."

The pair married last year - selling their wedding photos to Viz for £1.
