Sketch troop scoop Aspen prize

British sketch group The Hollow Men, have picked up a top award at the Aspen comedy festival.

David Armand, Rupert Russell, Sam Spedding and Nick Tanner won the jury award for best sketch or Alternative Show at the US Comedy Arts Festival.

The group was invited to play the festival by cable network HBO after a successful New York run in October.

Other award-winners at the festival were Mike Myers, who picked up the American Film Institute award, and Michael Moore, who won the Freedom of Speech Award went to Michael Moore

Among those appearing at the festival were Billy Bailey, Fraser star Kelsey Grammer, Simpsons actor Harry Shearer and Jimmy Carr.

The Hollow Men will be returning to the US to play shows in Los Angeles in the spring.
