Danny La Rue and Al Murray share bill

Veteran entertainer Danny La Rue is to join a bill of younger comedy talent for a Children In Need benefit next week.

The BBC London fundraiser ,which raises thousands of pounds for the charity appeal every year, will be headlined by pub landlord Al Murray.

This year's show, the 11th, also includes Danny Baker, Mel and Sue, Jackie Clune and Tom Watt, all of whom are presenters on the radio station.

Also on the bill at the Shepherds Bush Empire are Irish stand-up Dara O'Briain, San Francisco's Scott Capurro and Muslim comic Shazia Mirza.

The gig takes place next Wednesday (November 13). For tickets, priced £10, call 0870 771 2000.
