Comic gets stressed for new TV series

Russell Brand is to come face-to-face with extremists, challenge his father to a boxing match and take part in a motorcycle stunt for a new TV series.

The comic and MTV host is to front a ten-part show on digital channel PlayUK, starting on August 26.

Each show tackles a theme such as homelessness, sexuality or privacy, using stunts and interviews to make a point.

As part of the show, Re:Brand, he put himself a number of stressful situations such as meeting the leader of the National Front and taking part in an Eddie Kidd stunt.

A spokesman for PlayUK said: "The idea is to test public consciousness of these ideas."

Shows go out at 11.15pm every night, with a repeat at 1.50am.
