Now he's advertising advertising

Johnny Vegas is starring in a new series of radio adverts, advertising radio advertising.

The comic has been signed up for four commercials for the Radio Advertising Bureau, which hope to persuade businesses to promote themselves through the medium.

The spots, were which created by Teesside station 96.6 TFM, will appear on local radio throughout Britain until July 14.

Each starts with Vegas, the former face of failed ITV Digital, claiming: "I love it when the adverts come on the radio. I do. It's the best bit."

Justin Sampson, managing director of the RAB, said: "Our campaign of radio promotional spots has been one of the most effective elements of our communications plan.

"We need to keep the activity fresh to avoid wear-out - Johnny Vegas caught our attention for playing the lead in an engaging series of executions."
