UK's South African comedy fest

South African stand-ups are to visit London for a three-week festival celebrating the best of the country's comedy.

The event at the Riverside Studios promises the best-loved stars and the hottest newcomers as well as a solo show by South Africa's top satirist Mark Banks (pictured).

Among the seven comics taking part in the stand-up festival are Mel Miller, who has more than 30 years experience of comedy; David Kau, who featured in the Best Of The Fest showcase at Montreal this year and Al Prodgers, who supported Steven Wright on his tour of South Africa.

Stand Up South Africa runs from March 12 to April 6, and tickets, priced £17 (£15 concs) are available from the box office on 020 8237 1111.
