The Play What I Wrote

Stage tribute to Morecambe & Wise

Kenneth Branagh is to direct a theatrical tribute to Morecambe and Wise.

The Play What I Wrote will feature original scripts from Britain's most successful double act.

It was created by Sean Foley and Hamish McColl, who perform as The Right Size. The pair will also star as the comics.

The comedy will premiere at Liverpool's Everyman Playhouse theatre on September 27 for two weeks before a transfer to the West End.

A theatre spokesman said: "This is a very exciting project. Having someone like Kenneth Branagh on board makes it all the more likely to be a big success."
