Veteran disses modern stand-up

Another veteran comedian has complained about modern comics' lack of material.

American comedy pioneer Milton Berle, who truned 93 last week, has been griping about the state of stand-up in the US.

In an interview with TV Guide, he said that his successors need to spend more time writing material.

"They think it's easy to go out and do a stand-up," he said. "They grab a mike and say, 'How are you doing out there?' They have no material.''
