Billy fills theatres in hours

Tickets for Billy Connolly's latest have sold out within hours.

Connolly announced the UK dates of his tour yesterday, and already the charity gig at the Shakespeare Globe Theatre on London's south bank is sold out.

Three dates at the Manchester Apollo and two at Cardiff have also sold out.

Ticket hotlines at Newcastle, Sheffield and Bournemouth are constantly engaged. However, the two dates at the Plymouth Pavilions on October 16 and 17 do still have seats available at all prices.

The London show on September 17 is raising money for Connolly's Tickety-Boo Tea charity, which runs homes for abandoned and orphaned children in India.
