Student Holly Franklin made BBC sitcom her specialist subject

Spoiler alert: Contains details of tonight’s results.

BBC sitcom Ghosts became a specialist subject on Mastermind tonight.

Holly Franklin scored a perfect 13 points – with no passes – after choosing the hit comedy as her area of expertise.

And after the general knowledge round, she won the whole episode, going through to the semi-final

Interviewed on the BBC Two show, she said:‘ I chose Ghosts just because I think as a work of comedy, it's just  the perfect comedy  in half an hour and I admire the creators so much and it just makes me laugh. It’s probably my favourite show.’

‘I thought I’d studied well but obviously I’d studied I think probably better than I thought I ever could have done to score a perfect  score.’

And she said she didn’t find it too stressful being grilled by host Clive Myrie as she sat in the show famous black chair.

‘I had this strange sort of calm just looking at Clive’s face and I felt all the nerves disappear and just focused on that one thing,’ she said.
