More names for Stand Up in The Wyldes

Katherine Ryan and Russell Kane have joined the line-up for Cornwall’s first comedy festival.

They join the previously announced Bill Bailey at Stand Up in The Wyldes, which takes place at the home of cult music festival Leopallooza near Bude in August.

Bailey will headline on Friday August 25, and will be joined by Zoe Lyons, Lolly Adefope and Andrew Lawrence, among others.

Ryan will top the bill the following day, supported by musical comedian Henry Phillips, shock-comic Dr Gore and local comic Kernow King.

And on Sunday, Kane will be joined by Hal Cruttenden, author and musician Mishka Shubaly, and stand-up comic and podcaster Simon King.

Local acts Hedluv and Passman, Colin Leggo, and Steve Heller are all set to perform over the weekend too.

The line-up has been curated by Tom Latimer and MJ Walker, who said: ‘We are massively excited to be bringing many of the highest profile comedy acts in the UK and beyond down to Cornwall.

‘As comedians ourselves, we have been repeatedly told that to be noticed and progress we would need to leave the county. We never believed this to be true and we are especially pleased that, as well as attracting some huge stars, this festival will also showcase the massive wealth of comedy talent within the South West itself.’

Tickets for the event are on sale now from www.intothewyldes.com. Day tickets aret £31, or £80 for the full weekend. Plus booking fee.
