Noel Fielding hits the heights

Success in Let's Dance...

Noel Fielding is into the final of Let's Dance For Comic Relief after wowing judges with his version of Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights.

Stand-up Charlie Baker also got through, thanks to the viewers’ votes, thanks to a double-act with Emmerdale actor James Thornton.

The popularity tap version of Puttin' On The Ritz earned them an automatic place in the final – with celebrity judges having to decide between the next most popular acts: Fielding and Lulu’s version Crank That by Soulja Boy.

Lee Mack said: ‘I find them both very alluring, but at the end of the day Noel did try and kiss me so I suppose I have to put Noel through.’

Jack Whitehall voted for Lulu, leaving Leigh Francis as Keith Lemon to cast the deciding vote. After prevaricating, he plumped for Fielding.

The Mighty Boosh star said he was ‘flabbergasted;’ by the decision.
