In this Saturday Night Live sketch

Colin Jost played Secretary of War Pete Hegseth giving a press conference about the military strikes off the coast of Venezuela in the opening sketch of yesterday’s Saturday Night Live. 

Asked about the extrajudicial execution of victims, he responds: ‘That kind of cruel, heartless act has no place in Operation Kill Everybody.’

His jacked-up attitude was even enough to waken a sleeping Donald Trump (James Austin Johnson), who ‘defended’ his Cabinet member by saying: He’s a great guy. He’s just fog of war, right? Fog of war, it’s a thing you only say after doing war crime, right?’
