Pete Davidson returns to Saturday Night Live

For the Weekend Update segment

Pete Davidson returned to Saturday Night Live last night, joining the  Weekend Update desk.

In the segment, he joked about the decommissioned Staten Island Ferry he and regular anchor Colin Jost bought in 2022 with plans to turn it into an entertainment venue – but which turned out to be a financial disaster.

Davidson quipped that one of the reasons he played the controversial Riyadh Comedy Festival was to help cover his losses.

And he joked that they were renaming the vessel ‘Titanic II’.

Earlier in the segment, Jost and co-anchor Michael Che tackle the week's biggest news, like someone collapsing in the Oval Office, Zohran Mamdani becoming the new mayor of New York and Dick Cheney dying.
