'Downton Abbey and Airplane!' – as co-written by Jimmy Carr

Here's the trailer for Fackham Hall – the forthcoming comedy described as 'if Downton Abbey and Airplane! had a love child born with a silver spoon up its arse'.

The script was written by Jimmy Carr – who has a cameo as a vicar – with his brother Patrick and the Dawson Brothers and Tim Inman, the trio behind  David Walliams' 2013 sitcom Big School.

The cast includes Damian Lewis,  Anna Maxwell Martin, Ben Radcliffe. Tom Delton, Thomasin McKenzie, Emma Laird, Katherine Waterston and Sue Johnston.

Carr has said: 'The British film industry does two things very well. Period drama and comedy. Now we didn’t have time to write two movies, so we’ve had to mash the genres together – hope that’s OK. 

'I’m just slightly worried that if you say Fackham Hall in a posh English accent it might be misconstrued, hopefully that won’t be a problem.'
