Nina Conti's film with Shenoah Allen

Here’s a trailer for Sunlight, Nina Conti’s film about a woman escaping a toxic relationship who ends up on the road in a monkey suit.

Her character   gets picked up by  a man seeking retribution from his dead father, played by her real-life partner Shenoah Allen.

Conti also directed the film, described as ‘fantastically absurd, original and funny’ and an inventive extension of her ventriloquism act.

The movie debuted at the Edinburgh International Film Festival last summer, and is to be screened in a couple of US cinemas next month: The Quad in New York for a week from June 6 and the Nuart in Los Angeles from June 13.

There is no news yet of any further UK screenings.
