Here’s the first trailer for the American version of Would I Lie To You?
The host of the remake is Aasif Mandvi, a comedian and actor who grew up in Bradford before moving to Florida as a teenager. His credits include Ricky Gervais comedy Ghost Town, supernatural drama series Evil and the HBO comedy series The Brink.
He joked: ‘As a person of Indian descent, I couldn’t be happier to finally steal something from the British.’
Team captains are Veep’s Matt Walsh and Canadian comedian Sabrina Jalees as team captains.
The series will air on The CW network from April 9, with celebrity guests including Brooke Shields, Michael Ian Black, Chris Gethard, Jena Friedman and Hari Kondabulu.
