The A-Z Of Blackness

New web series from Dane Baptiste

Here’s the first episode in Dane Baptist’s new web series The A-Z of Blackness, released today.

In the six-part series the comedian will  provide his personal glossary of terms related to black culture, from Aggression to Zulu.

Batiste says: ‘In an increasingly sensitive world with racial tensions at an all-time high, I wanted to make a show that was unabashedly funny, poignant and black; from the clothing I wore to the crew I put together to film the series, with the potential audience reach of the whole world! Especially with Kwanzaa coming up. If you don’t know what Kwanzaa is, you gotta see the show.’

The series has been made by Little Dot Studios, whose executive creative director  Tom  said: ‘From the very beginning we were excited by Dane’s vision for this series, its immediate concept and his drive to build new work on social as an alternative to conventional broadcast.

‘I hope the A-Z of Blackness will resonate with and inform a wide audience in the same way it did with us.’
