HBO releases trailer with Jennifer Garner and David Tennant

Here’s the first look at the US version of Julia Davis’s Camping.

The remake stars Jennifer Garner and David Tennant as Kathryn and Walt, a not-so-happily married couple whose outdoor trip to celebrate Walt’s 45th birthday is derailed by uninvited guests and forces of nature.

The scripts have been adapted for HBO by Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner in their first project from the pair since Girls ended last year.

Tennant’s role was originally played by Steve Pemberton, Garner’s by Vicki Pepperdine played the equivalent role in the original.

HBO have commissioned eight episodes – two more than initially ran on Sky Atlantic in 2016 – which will start on October 16, according to the trailer:
