Katherine Ryan's Cats Do Countdown monologue

For the all-female edition

Here’s an exclusive clip of Katherine Ryan’s opening monologue for this week’s all-female edition of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

The one-off celebrates 100 years of women’s suffrage in the UK, and he comic heralds the ‘all-female, cis-gendered, mostly white women line-up,’ adding: ‘One step at a time.’

She also teases male feminists and social media users who insist on using the ‘notallmen’ hashtag, while reassuring male viewers that this special episode is just a one-off.

But then she jokes: ’No, it’s so not just a one-off! In five years we will be wearing your balls as earrings.’

In the game, Roisin Conaty and Jessica Hynes take on Sara Pascoe and Lolly Adefope, while Morgana Robinson appears in character as Natalie Cassidy in Dictionary Corner.

The show airs on Channel 4 at 9pm on Friday.
