Jack Heal – Original Review

Note: This review is from 2012

Review by Steve Bennett

The bookish-looking Jack Heal has a rather old-fashioned style, as he dry narrates a monologue about romance. But with almost every line he reveals a sly joke, either an unexpected switch or just some silly play on words.

Winner of Chortle's student comedy award in 2008, this maths graduate's gags were constructed as intricately and rigorously as any complex equation, but a hell of a lot funnier. Every one is a winner, drawing huge, well-deserved laughs.
