Jarlath Regan – Original Review

Review by Steve Bennett

Though this deadpan Irishman has a skilful way with words and a playful misplaced logic, it’s still hard to get too excited by him.

His laconic manner is just too quiet and unenthused to make an impact in even the least hostile of rooms, and while he’s charming and amiable he just lacks that sense of command that would hold the attention.

The low-key anecdotes are entertaining enough, and there’s more than the occasional smile from the literal interpretation of some figure of speech or another, but this newcomer’s still got some way to go to become a solid performer.
