Vic Reeves hits the car boot sales
Jim Moir sells his art at London market
Vic Reeves is to flog his wares at a car boot sale.
The comedian, whose real name is Jim Moir, will be among 100 artists selling work at an event in London next month.
His star will feature his portraits of birds, after Guardian art critic Jonathan Jones described him 'the Andy Warhol of bird painting'.
As the name suggests, artists at Art Car Boot Fair sell their work directly from the back of their cars. Past editions have featured Tracey Emin and Sir Peter Blake, and Vogue has called it 'the most stylish car boot sale imaginable'.
It returns to Coal Drops Yard in King's Cross on Saturday, September 5. As part of the event 100 pieces of work have been specifically created to be sold £100.
Also appearing is the photographer Rankin – known for his portraits of Björk, Madonna, David Bowie and the late Queen – who will photograph visitors.
GG the Illustrator, who is painting every council estate in London, will make her first appearance at the fair, alongside Helen Beard, Mr Bingo and Margo in Margate.
Tickets, priced £5 and £10, are available now at artcarbootfair.com.
