The macarena marathon

Comic raises funds by performing the same dance more than 2,500 times

comedyHis Edinburgh Fringe show involves singing the same song repeatedly – so no wonder the clown Conk came up with a similarly insane plan to fund his festival run.

The performer – real name Connor Dariol – danced a macarena for every dollar his fans donated.

His marathon,  streamed via Instagram Live, has just stopped after hittin AU$2,562 (£1,250), taking him seven-and-a-half hours.

As he came towards the end his efforts – while dressed in a banana suit – Conk said: 'My feet are like blood sacs.'

One fan watching the feed posted: ' One day I’ll be walking my kid to the aisle to get married, but that day won’t be nearly as special as right now.'

Conk's show Man Sings the Same Song Over and Over Again for an Hour will be at Summerhall at 7.45pm during the Fringe.
