Comic had sex on a bed of nails

Stephen Bailey has revealed he once had sex on a bed of nails.

The comic – currently seen playing Benny in Russell T Davies’s Channel 4 drama Tip Toe opposite Alan Cumming as Leo and David Morrissey – said he got a shock after seeing the contraption after hooking up with a guy in a bar.

‘Even worse he lived in a converted warehouse,’ Bailey recalled. "So I thought "oh my god I’ve gone to a warehouse to die" and I’m not Piper from Charmed, I can't freeze this!’

But it wasn’t *quite* as weird as it first seemed, as Bailey recalled on the LGBTQ+ podcast It Started With A Kiss, hosted by Amy Spalding and Gareth Valentino.

He said: ‘I once went on a date with a guy. We met in a bar. Then we went back to his. He had a bed of nails. 

‘[But] they weren't metal, they were plastic, so it was something to do with his back.

‘I rang my best mate and was like "do you think I should?" and she said "yes" so I did.  We made sweet love on a bed of nails.’
