Blockage found under comedian's home

Alan Carr will face a major renovation project when he moves into Ayton Castle on the Scottish borders for a new TV project.

But he’s already having problems closer to his London home – after workmen discovered a giant fatberg blacking the sewers 

The 49-year-old comedian was contacted by the council after tit was found, and complained: ‘Someone’s been putting wet wipes down my toilet. I don’t know who it is. I don’t have wet wipes in my house so they’re bringing them in.

‘I’m going to have to do a stop and search when people come in because someone is doing it. It’s costing me a fortune. We’ve all got to chip in, the whole row of houses . . . because there’s a fat load.’
