Gavin & Stacey vehicle on the market for £200,000
Gavin & Stacey fans have a chance to own a unique peice of memorabilia from the show – Dave's Coaches actual coach.
The vehicle, driven by Steffan Rhodri's character, has been listed for sale on Autotrader for £200,000.
The 1990 Mercedes-Benz Vario 814D is advertised as having had eight previous owners, with 450,000km on the clock.
It featured in the very first episode of Gavin & Stacey in 2007 when Steffan Rhodri's character drove Stacey and Nessa from Barry to London to meet Gavin and Smithy – and the very last episode, ferrying guests to Smithy’s wedding, below.
The TV links has certainly affected the price, as a similar model that’s 15 years younger and with 350,000km mileage is currently on sale on eBay for £5,800.
The seller is based in Penarth, near Barry, and wrote on Autotrader: ‘This vehicle is instantly recognisable and remains in good condition. Finished in a sleek red and with a 33-seat capacity, the coach comes with the legendary, original "Dave's Coaches" design details, making it a once-in-a-lifetime collectable for fans of the show.
