Taskmaster makes the Beano

Greg Davies and Alex Horne immortalised in Minnie The Minx comic strip

comedyGreg Davies and Little Alex Horne have been immortalised in the Beano.

The pair feature in a comic  strip in which Minnie The Minx runs a ‘Taskminxter’ competition in her back garden.

She invites her pals Susan and Calamity James to take part –  with Francis Fudge as her loyal assistant – although the challenges she set  seem a little like chores. And James doesn’t even manage to make it to the garden.

And in the final frame she finds herself in the real Taskmaster studio facing Davies and Horne, where it’s revealed she had been given the task of getting other people to do the jobs for her.

The cover of the September 20 edition even features Minnie in one of the thrones from the show.

Mike Stirling, the Beano’s ‘director of mischief’, told Chortle:  ‘Beano is all about having a laugh, so this felt like a must-do task for Minnie.

‘When Beano features something, or someone, it's because they're already larger than life - we verify that by immortalising them in the world's longest-running comic.

‘It's a buzz for us to see how Alex, Greg, and Taskmaster fans appreciated the honour. For Beano, it wasn't a task at all, just an absolute pleasure.’
