Alan Davies on the consequences of an ageing audience

Alan Davies has been talking about how his audience is getting older as he ages.

In a live show to plug his latest book, White Male Stand-Up, the  comic recalled how at a recent gig in Milton Keynes the alarm on someone’s phone went off. 

‘I joked that it was time to take their medication,’ the 59-year-old said, in comments reported by The Times diary column.

‘Then the woman said it actually was, and I had to pause the show while she found the pills in her bag.’
