Why Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton are full of themselves

BBC's parting gift as Inside No 9 ends

comedyThe BBC has given Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton Russian dolls of themselves to mark the end of Inside No 9.

Bosses commissioned specially-made Babushka dolls depicting some of their characters from the series, Pemberton has revealed.

He told the Daily Mail: 'There's me as Carl in Sardines — the first episode we ever did in 2014; as Julian in The Devil At Christmas from series three, and so on

'Basically, it's me inside me inside me...and Reece inside Reece… nine times over.’

The ninth and final BBC Two series began on Wednesday (review here) – and the duo will star in a stage version in January.
