comedyWith the little-mourned death of OJ Simpson, the last word surely has to go to David Zucker, director of the Naked Gun movies in which he starred.

Speaking to his brother and collaborator Jerry in the book Surely You Can’t Be Serious: The True Story Of Airplane!, Zucker recalls working with the former NFL star.

‘I directed him in the Naked Gun movies,’ he recalled. ‘Although he actually improved with each film, his acting remained like his murdering – he got away with it but nobody really believed it.’
