Seinfeld fans rank their favourite episodes

The Soup Nazi has been rated the best of all 180 Seinfeld episodes. 

Australian broadcaster 9Now asked fans to score their favourite instalments of the US comedy to promote its channel dedicated to the show. 

The series 7 episode Soup Nazi – about a chef with demanding rules about how to order – racked up a score of 1,348 – far outstripping the runner-up The Marine Biologist.

In that episode, George pretends to be a marine biologist in order to impress an old crush, which puts him on the spot when they encounter a beached whale.
