Reclusive comedy genius Chris Morris has revealed his latest role – appealing to save his local bicycle store.
He filmed himself in Brixton Cycles in South London urging people to donate to a crowdfunding appeal to keep the workers' co-operative open.
A major electrical fault knocked it out of action for almost a month late last year, and now it is appealing for help to cover the missing income – £30,000. The 40-year-old store has so far raised more than £22,000 from over 700 wellwishers.
Hopefully, Morris's appeal will help – but given his past record on the likes of The Day Today and Brass Eye, you would be forgiven for thinking this was wind-up. It isn't...
