With Chatabix podcast branded earphones...

Fans of Joe Wilkinson and David Earl’s thrice-weekly Chatabix podcast can now listen to the show – and indeed any other audio of their choice – on branded earphones.

The limited edition designs from manufacturers Flare Audio are also raising money for charity, with 25 per cent of all sales going to mental health charity Mind.

They cost £49.95 for a branded Jet 3 model or £249.95 for a top-of-the-range E-Prototype version and have been launched to coincide with Mind’s Time to Talk Day, which encourages people to be more open about their mental health.

The comics gushed about the earphones when the tried them out, with Wilkinson saying: ‘This is amazing, feels like the sound is right in your head’

And Earl added: ‘I can even hear the leather on your chair.’

Wilkinson explained why the chose Mind, saying: ‘We often have listeners get in touch to tell us that [the podcast] helped them through some rough times. We do sometimes wonder what the hell we are doing, so when people tell us we’ve given them a bit of a lift when they’ve needed it, it means the world to us."
