Rory Bremner's advice for those who want to mimic him

...and Rob Brydon's worst putdown

comedyRory Bremner has some top advice for aspiring impersonators who want to follow in his footsteps.

According to The Times’s diary column today, the impressionist is often approached by parents proud of their children’s skills for mimicry and seeking  advice on how to get into the business.

‘Read the Bible,’ he tells them. When asked why, he replies: ‘It will slow them down for a few years.’

After all, who needs the competition?

The column also reports on the worst putdown Rob Brydon ever received, courtesy of a woman in his Inverness audience, who sat on her own reading a book throughout his entire performance. And what was the title that proved far more entertaining than his show? A History Of Genocide.
