First look at Matt Lucas and David Walliams in Rock Profile
Here’s the first picture of Matt Lucas and David Walliams from their revived Rock Profile.
As Chortle reported earlier in the week, the Little Britain duo are reviving the cult sketches that first made their name in aid of Red Nose Day.
Now the BBC has released this image of the pair as Miley and Billy Cyrus.
Other pop celebrities the duo will parody include Adele, Post Malone, Lady Gaga, Lewis Capaldi – all being interviewed by Vernon Kay as they perpare for the release of the new Comic Relief single, a version of Whitney Houston's The Greatest Love Of All.
Lucas said: ‘It’s been really fun giving the Rock Profile treatment to a host of stars who weren’t even twinkles in our eyes when we first did the show nearly 25 years ago"
Walliams added: ‘It has been a blast working with Matt on Rock Profile again. I can’t wait for everyone to see our brand new characters."
And Kay, who takes over the interviewer role originally played by Jamie Theakstonm said: ‘I have been watching David and Matt’s sketches for as long as I can remember, so I am super excited to get to be part of one myself.
‘Thankfully I will be playing myself in Rock Profile, so I’ll be saving David or Matt the embarrassment of attempting my accent.
Rock Profile first appeared on the channel UK Play in 1999, before moving to BBC Two the following year
The BBC One Red Nose Day telethon kicks off at 7pm on Friday March 18.
