Punches thrown at comedian's gig... again

Another Alex Williamson show turns nasty

comedyFor most comedians, a gig turning ugly is a rare, unfortunate occurrence.

But aggressive Australian stand-up Alex 'Shooter' Williamson has hit the headlines for the third time in a year with a familiar story of his show turning into a punch-up.

The comic has released footage on social media of the moment a punter at his performance in Rockhampton, Queensland, marched up on stage punched him in the head.

Friends of the comic then pounce and the man is bundled away, as Williamson taunts him with obscenities.

The man had reportedly been heckling throughout the show and the comic responded in the way he often does – by pouring beer over his head, so triggering the escalation.

Williamson told news.com.au: ‘There are certainly some cowboys up here … considering they’re getting that rowdy and drunk on a Tuesday, I still can’t believe I got punched on a Tuesday. Like don’t you have work in the morning?’

In October, the YouTuber turned stand-up said he was seeking mental health advice after turning nasty on a punter in a comedy club  in Adelaide.

At that show, he told the man he was glad his parented were dead ‘so they didn't get to see their son evolve into a such a fucking useless sack of shit’ then aggressively squared up to him, kicking drinks off his table.

And in March last year,  Williams proudly posted footage of him repeatedly taking swings at a punter, who retaliated by attempting to glass him with a bottle. When he posted the clip he invited audience members to ‘come bottle me’ at future gigs.

Williamson’s latest video, posted after the Queensland punch incident, showed him walking topless through neighbourhood streets late at night taunting dogs to bark to wake up their owners, before one resident is heard angrily reprimanding him.
