With Mr Gilbert living with Mr Kennedy

comedyInbetweeners creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris once planned a spin-off revolving around Greg Davis's character, Mr Gilbert.

The writing duo discussed a series in which the gruff head of sixth form would be living with creepy geography teacher Mr Kennedy, the character rumoured to be a paedophole played by Waen Shepherd.

Beesley told the Daily Star: 'We talked about a spin-off and it was called Not Now John.

'I'm not sure the internet is quite ready for that and Greg's too busy.'

He was speaking as his new football-based comedy, the First Team, airs on BBC Two.
