Revelation on The Tez O'Clock Show

Richard Bacon reckons he might have shared a drug dealer with Michael Gove.

And he also reveals how Love Island could have killed him, in an interview on The Tez O'Clock Show tonight.

On the Channel 4 programme, the presenter – who was famously fired from Blue Peter for taking cocaine – said he started to put two and two together when reading the Cabinet Minister' confession of taking the same Class A in the past.

'I read it and thought, 20 years ago? Media parties in London?That's literally what happened to me,' Bacon said. 'Maybe we shared a dealer.'

The 43-year-old also spoke of the mystery lung infection which almost killed him last year. He was rushed to hospital after falling ill on a transatlantic flight and was put in a medical coma for treatment

He told told comic Tez Ilyas: 'A year ago to the day I was in a coma in Lewisham Hospital and the infection filled up both my lungs.

'If you go to hospital and say you're short of breath, they take it very seriously and were panicking a bit. But one of the nurses said to me, 'listen, we haven't got our full complement of doctors here today".

'And I say, "oh yes, typical NHS underfunding" and she said, 'No it's not underfunding, one of our doctors is Dr Alex and he's on Love Island.

'I already wasn't that keen on the show. Am I now going to die because of it?
