Alan Davies has revealed that he once shat in a bush

The Jonathan Creek star confessed to his shameful secret during last night’s episode of QI – after her was challenged to reveal something he had never before disclosed.

‘I was once walking home across Hampstead Heath and I got caught short and I had to do a poo under some leafs,’ he said.

‘Then, as I went to pull my trousers up, I slipped over in it.’

Explaining more about the farcical situation, he said he had to use some leafs to wipe his bum because he had no paper – ‘and that’s what I slipped on.’

‘And my glasses slipped off. When I got home I couldn’t properly see my house, I thought, "my glasses have fallen off!" So I had to go back and look for them.’

‘How drunk were you?’ host Sandi Toksvig asked.

‘I was pretty pissed,’ he confessed.

After his revelation, Davies was the, ahem, butt of jokes from fellow panellists Victoria Coren Mitchell, Phill Jupitus and Bridget Christie for the rest of the episode.
