Comic is given his own Viz cartoon

He’s won awards for his stand-up, but now Dara O Briain has received the ultimate accolade: his own cartoon strip in Viz magazine.

Dara O Briain: Science Comedian makes its debut in the new December issue of the sweary magazine, alongside some of the Mock The Week regulars.

The first frame features caricatures of Hugh Dennis, Milton Jones, Ed Byrne and James Acaster repeating some of the running gags of the panel show.

Adventure comes when O Briain has to take a break from presenting ‘all the shows on TV’ to host the National Science Awards, because: ‘I fecking well love the science’.

But encounters with a Terminator Jesus from the future, a mad scientist  and Jedward dressed as a pantomime horse leads to comic confusion, and hilarity ensues.

The real O Briain has taken serious issue with his portrayal in the strip, pointing out on Twitter: ‘For the record, I like "fuck" a LOT more than "feck".’
