Ted Danson and Elizabeth Banks are to star as father and daughter in a new Apple TV comedy.
In the as-yet-untitled project, Banks’s character is forced into an unlikely alliance with the ‘perpetually single’ son of her father’s girlfriend.
Catastrophe’s Rob Delaney also has a role in the show, created by Liz Heldens and Matt Ward
The series – which had already been announced with only Banks attached – is set to begin production in Los Angeles this year.
The logline for the show reads: ‘Fresh off a messy divorce, Heidi [Banks] sets out to secure a lively second act for herself and her kids. But when she stumbles into coordinating her father’s retirement community sex dates, Heidi is forced into an unlikely alliance with his girlfriend’s perpetually single son.’
Deadline first reported the casting of Cheers and The Good Place star Danson, who is also due to film a third season of his Netflix comedy A Man on The Inside (pictured above) soon.
